Following a four-day trial, attorneys Christopher Hennessey and Michael Rivkin of Cohen Kinne Valicenti & Cook LLP persuaded a Worcester County jury to find in favor of their client, the plaintiff, a commercial tenant of a medical office building located in Oxford, Massachusetts. CKVC filed suit on behalf of their client after the landlord materially interfered with the client’s ability to provide medical services to their patients, forcing them to relocate. CKVC successfully obtained a jury verdict in their client’s favor on all counts, resulting in an award of damages that compensated their client for their loss of business revenue, reimbursement of rent, and an entry of punitive damages that included CKVC’s reasonable attorney’s fees, for a total of $1,963,621.74.
